The contraction-relaxation cycle of cardiomyocytes elicits clear and rhythmic fluctuations which are monitored by the device at the millisecond level. Changes in intensity and recurrence are examined for seconds or days in order to assess cardiomyocyte contraction and feasibility in the presence of various drugs and treatments.
- The xCELLigence RTCA ePacer device is used for efficient and easy growth of mature and functional hiPSC cardiomyocytes. The ePacer improves the maturation state of cardiomyocytes in 2-3 weeks using precise electrical pacing conditions over different durations. The simple pulse protocol, using precise and consistent electrical step conditions, improves the functionality of the cardiomyocytes and their response to inotropic compounds.
- The xCELLigence RTCA CardioECR device combines these two devices
