About the Product

The xCELLigence RTCA Cardio is a state-of-the-art biotech instrument specifically designed to monitor cardiomyocyte activity to assess cardiotoxicity. By meticulously analyzing the contraction-relaxation cycle of cardiomyocytes, it captures rhythmic impedance fluctuations in real-time. Its capabilities extend to monitoring changes in the intensity and periodicity in impedance over a broad time frame, ranging from seconds to days. This provides essential insights into cardiomyocyte contractility and viability under the influence of diverse drugs. 

The xCELLigence RTCA Cardio instrument is designed to analyze cells in a 96-well microtiter plate format (E-Plate Cardio 96) using an electronic system. It is typically placed inside a standard CO2 cell culture incubator and connected to analysis and control units located outside the incubator using a cable.
